Training & E-Learning
BNF has been providing direct and distance training for records management for over 15 years. In addition, BNF is now deeply experienced in e-learning, providing on-going support to the VA’s National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. We work directly with the doctors presenting the courses and have developed role-playing and interview video clips, with supporting B-roll backup. Our material is SCORM compliant and can be chunked or modularized for hand-held media delivery.
The BNF Team has completed 19 courses with many in process, developed in a Flash-based player that allows for slide-by-slide download of audio. We have edited content, recorded and coached subject matter experts delivering the audio, created a beautiful new branded graphic interface for the series, and programmed interactive exercises and check-on-learning questions
We review the author’s text-based information to identify the learning objectives and content for the new presentations and write the script. We have videotaped PTSD survivors talking about symptoms and recovery from PTSD, and clinicians talking about effective treatment options; blended compelling photographs, documentary-style video, narration, and clear language into two dynamic, easy-to-use, on-line awareness tools; condensed highlights and laid them out into attractive, downloadable PDFs to provide handy print synopses of the material.
These presentations expand the VA’s web-based, video-enhanced offerings for the public and build on their previous text-only library of PTSD information. The multimedia format makes this critical information more engaging and accessible to visual and auditory learners.
We are also remediating earlier courses into the VA’s very rigid full 508 compliance while we complete all new courses on a 508 certified platform.
BNF assists in the policy and planning for health care e-learning and has expanded its team to include health policy strategists and military nursing expertise.
